Where to Install

• Masonry see-thru fireplaces with a functioning open chimney/flue
• Prefabricated see-thru wood-burning fireplaces that allow gas conversion
• Approved outdoor see-thru wood-burning fireplaces using a stainless steel burner
• These systems must remain open on both sides during use.
• Always ensure the fireplace is approved for vented gas logs and has proper ventilation on both faces.

Always use a see-thru compatible burner with your see-thru gas logs. These burners are engineered to provide an attractive flame and ember glow from both sides of the fireplace.

For outdoor see-thru vented setups, use an approved stainless steel burner

Pre-Season

• Ensure logs are in the proper position and haven’t shifted.

In-Season

• Observe flame behavior periodically.
• Avoid rearranging logs unless your manual allows.
• If it’s been a while or you notice any changes in performance, a quick annual inspection by a certified tech can help keep things running smoothly.

Real Fyre® Vented Gas Log Sets Limited Warranty Highlights

All Peterson vented ceramic refractory gas logs are warranted for as long as you own them (lifetime).

All Peterson vented burners are warranted for ten (10) years. Spk-26 controls are covered for three (3) years “all parts” warranty. The apk-17 valve is covered for two (2) years. All other Peterson valves, pilots and controls are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty (excluding batteries).

All Real Fyre® Vent-Free ceramic refractory gas logs are warranted for as long as you own them (lifetime). All Real Fyre® vent-free burners are warranted for ten (10) years. All Real Fyre® glass, gems and fiber-ceramic blend logs are warranted for five (5) years. All Real Fyre® valves, pilots and controls are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty (excluding batteries).

Real Fyre® Direct Vent Systems Limited Warranty Highlights

The insert body and firebox are warranted as long as you own them (lifetime). Burner assemblies are warranted for ten (10) years. Ceramic glass panel is warranted for five (5) years (thermal breakage only). Gas logs are warranted for five (5) years. Electronics and gas controls are warranted for one (1) year.
